Code of Conduct for Pupils

All members of Friends of Freemen’s must follow our Codes of Conduct.

  1. You must sign up using your school email address and never share your personal email address or other contact details with a mentor.
  2. To ensure your safety and wellbeing, all communication between members must occur exclusively through the website. This guideline remains in effect regardless of any existing relationship or familiarity between correspondents. There are no exceptions to this.
  3. Your conversations will be monitored as part of the safeguarding protocol.
  4. When communicating on Friends of Freemen's, all members must be polite, respectful and professional to each other at all times. Pupils, please remember to thank mentors for their time and for any advice they have given. Remember that in a year or two, it might be you being asked for advice.
  5. If you know of an Old Free who you would like to approach, but they are not on the list of mentors, please contact friends@freemens.org and we will ask the Old Free in question to sign up.
  6. When approaching other members, be clear about what you are asking and state your timeframe.
  7. You should not expect any personal or professional favours from any mentor you meet via Friends of Freemen's.

We hope you find the Friends of Freemen's platform a useful and engaging tool. If you have any suggestions for improvements or changes in the way it works, please do let us know at friends@freemens.org.
