Just before half term, we were delighted to welcome three of our Freemen's alumni back to School to speak at our House assemblies.
Bernard Tucker (Class of 1988), Florence Storr (Class of 2006) and Grant Peacock-Holmes (Class of 1991) each spoke about their time at Freemen’s and the journeys they have taken since leaving the School. Drawing on their personal and professional experiences, they reflected on the opportunities, challenges and decisions that have shaped their careers and lives beyond Freemen’s.
Their stories highlighted the many different pathways open to pupils after school and demonstrated that success can take many forms. From pursuing career ambitions to embracing new opportunities and overcoming setbacks, each speaker offered valuable insights and encouragement for pupils as they begin to think about their own futures.
A particular highlight was hearing how the values and experiences gained at Freemen’s have continued to influence and support our alumni long after they left the School. Their reflections provided a powerful reminder of the lifelong connection shared by members of the Freemen’s community.
Hearing about their experiences and achievements offered the pupils valuable insight into the many opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead.
We are extremely grateful to Bernard, Florence and Grant for giving their time to return to Freemen’s and for sharing their stories with our school community, and we look forward to welcoming more alumni back to the School in the future.
